The Fast is Officially Over

Ghandi, the anorexic anerythristic Kenyan Sand Boa finally ate after his 5 month fast.
This is definitely an extreme form of passive resistance.

His cage lid is on extra tight now. I don't want him escaping to sit Indian-style on the train tracks.

Dave I fed the snakes this weekend and Ghandi ate again. It took a while, I put him in a brown paper bag with a pinky and left them alone in the room. I checked back an hour later and the pinky was gone and I could see it in his stomach. Destiny ate one mouse, Milky ate 2 fuzzies and a pinky, Bruce ate 2 fuzzies and my finger (for a docile snake when it is feeding time you don't want to get your finger in his way, he gets real agressive), Bertha ate 2 mice, I think one was a pregnant female and I think the pastel ate one. I left a mouse in with them and Bertha seemed to be full. When I checked later the Pastel was where the mouse had been and the mouse was gone and he had a pretty content look on his face.

I've thought about it, and don't take this the wrong way, but maybe he doesn't like you and he's trying to put himself out of his own misery.

You can't win em all Dave. You just can't.
